September 2000 Trust Talk

Working Solutions

Working Solutions made child/family services available to you beginning July 1, 2000.

The newly added child/family services include an array of family-related services to encompass more child/ family needs. Since these services cover a range of issues, here are some examples of the life stages of child development that Working Solutions is prepared to help you with:

  • Prenatal/newborn solutions
  • Parenting
  • Child care
  • Teen issues and
  • Education (preschool
    through college).

Working Solutions is still provided at no cost to you, and still covers you (and your family) automatically at hire. Working Solutions will continue to provide you with information and referrals on adult/elder dependents' or special-needs dependents' needs.

The roll out of Working Solutions (1997) and the recent addition of child/family services came about through the Trustees' considerations of members' needs to balance work/life issues.

Special Mailing

In mid-July, Working Solutions mailed to all members' homes an offer for free information about the child/family options. If you're interested, you can still take advantage of this offer and request any or all of the following free packets:

  • Time Management for Busy Families
  • Surviving and Thriving with a New Baby
  • Adults Returning to College and
  • Parenting Teens through Turbulent Times.

To receive one of these packets, you can simply call Working Solutions directly: Working Solutions toll-free phone number is 800-358-8515.

If you'd like to learn more about the new services or Working Solutions in general, the Trust has lots of information about this benefit on our website http://www.benefitstrust.org, with a secure link to the Working Solutions site.
