May 1998 Trust Talk
Disibility GAP Coming Soon
This benefit will be available at no cost to Union-represented State employees
with at least one year of continuous State service beginning July 1, 1998. Union Benefits Trust Trustees worked to create
this benefit to replace certain disability benefits that would otherwise have been taken away as of July 1, 1998, due to changes in the current
collective bargaining agreement.
The Prudential Insurance Company of America will insure and administer this plan, subject to state
filing and approval.
See your Trust Benefits Highlights '98 for more information, and the booklet-certificate
(coming after July 1) for full details.
