Vision Plan Review

In the last Trust Talk, we told you about a new vision plan, Cole, that we are offering in addition to your current plan, VSP. Both plans cover the same types of services and offer discount programs, but use different kinds of vision care networks. If you decide to stay with your current vision plan option, you don't need to do anything; you will remain in VSP.

Dental Plan Network Changes

NO MORE WORK/LIVE RULE FOR YOUR DENTAL COVERAGE

You may now choose the Preferred Choice Dental Plan, the Quality Dental Plan or the DMO®. Consider your options carefully before you make a decision about your coverage for the coming year. If you decide to make a change, complete and return the Enrollment and Change form by Friday, June 5. If you decide to stay with your current dental plan option, you don't need to do anything; your plan will stay the same.

REMEMBER ...THE PLANS YOU ELECT DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT WILL COVER YOU UNTIL THE NEXT PLAN YEAR BEGINS, EVEN IF THE NETWORKS CHANGE.

Update Your Beneficiary

If you have basic life insurance coverage (and you do, if you you have at least one year of continuous State service), now is an excellent time to update your beneficiary designation. We've included a form in your open enrollment kit, and encourage you to complete it and mail it to Prudential today.

In Memorial

A. Mildred Hamilton
Founding Trustee, Union Benefits Trust

Mildred Hamilton died April 15, 1998, in her home in Gallipolis, Ohio. Mildred recently retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center after 27 years of service, was active in OCSEA and instrumental in the development and building of the Trust. With her passing, the State of Ohio employees lost an advocate, the Trust lost an ardent supporter, and the staff and Trustees lost a friend.
