Working Solutions
Working Solutions Service is available to help you with balancing your work/family needs, especially child/family needs. Since child/family service is a range of issues, here's a flavor of all stages of child development that
Working Solutions is prepared to help with:
- Prenatal/newborn solutions
- Parenting
- Child care
- Teen issues and
- Education (preschool through college).
Working Solutions Service's offerings are so broad that the best way to get a
sense of how they can help is to call and find out. An easy way to become introduced to Working
Solutions is by taking advantage of some or all of their upcoming featured topics, described below. About 1,350 members contacted Working Solutions following their summer promotion, "Juggling Work/Family," and 87% who supplied feedback stated that they felt less stressed after
using Working Solutions Service.
Monthly Promotions from Working Solutions
This information is available by phone and on the web, but will not be available
until the first of the month in which it is promoted.
AVAILABLE IN FEBRUARY: For
Better or for Worse: How Couples Remain Happy
Working
Solutions is offering information to help you take care of those important relationships in life so that they not only survive but thrive. Check
and see how well you and your partner are doing and use the free articles to gain insights into ways to build and strengthen your relationships.
ONLINE ONLY IN FEBRUARY: Kids
and Money
Working
Solutions will post a special section, or "Virtual Information Fair," that will have information on such topics as kids and credit cards, how
to teach children good money habits, safe shopping for kids, etc.
AVAILABLE IN MARCH: Life
Skills for Young Adults
Young adults (and those that care about them) will find many helpful suggestions
in a variety of articles designed to help them transition into the adult world. Topics include handling rental and tenant issues and developing
a proactive approach to managing bills, budgets and other independent-living skills.
AVAILABLE IN APRIL: Summer
Fun for Everyone
Please wait until April to start planning: Working
Solutions won't have the information before then because many camps don't have their literature prepared before April. Included in the April
information will be summer camp information and the opportunity to have a Working Solutions counselor do a personalized search for summer camps
for your child(ren). Working Solutions wants to emphasize that you must specifically request to
have a counselor find specific camps for their children based on their location, interests, age, etc., otherwise you'll only receive the general
information. You can make that request either by phone or web. This service is very popular, and this is the first time we've been able to offer it,
as the child/family services were added July 1, 2000.
ONLINE ONLY IN APRIL: Summer Fun
There will also be a "Summer Fun" virtual information fair on the Working
Solutions website that includes a camp locator service.
Remember you can link to the Working
Solutions' site through the Trust's site: www.benefitstrust.org,
and Working Solutions toll-free number is 800-358-8515.
The Trust provides Working
Solutions at no cost to you, and covers you and your family automatically at hire. Working Solutions provides you with information and referrals
on to help you with all your responsibilities.
