Booklets

In the last issue of Trust Talk, we announced that we’d distribute booklets that would bridge the gap between the formal plan documents and the highlights books used at open enrollment.

Look for a complete set in the spring (they may be bundled with enrollment materials or slightly precede enrollment materials). There will be five booklets in the series, which you’ll receive whether eligible for or enrolled in that coverage or not: dental, vision, basic life insurance and accidental death, supplemental life insurance and Working Solutions Service.

Thereafter, we will mail supplemental life insurance and Working Solutions Service booklets only to new hires, and dental, vision and basic life insurance and accidental death booklets to members upon their one-year anniversaries. Of course, if a plan substantially changes, we will revise, reprint, and redistribute the affected book to all members at that time. All books will be available for download from the Trust’s website at www. benefitstrust.org, and will be the most current.

The life insurance booklets from Prudential will still be provided when you are first enrolled in a life insurance plan, and updates will follow when you make changes. Remember, there are no books or identification cards from the insurance companies for dental, vision or Working Solutions coverage.
